About:
Hands-on training on integration and collaboration based on principles of Open BIM utilising various software.
Objectives:
- Introduce participants to Industry Foundation Classes (IFC), BIM Dimension, BIM
Collaboration Format (BCF) and Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) - Produce basic BIM modelling projects using various BIM software
- Perform cost estimation, project scheduling and facility management features using
various BIM software
Who Should Join:
Clients, consultants, contractors, manufacturers, academicians, students and all others who wish to have a quick grasp of hands-on integration and collaboration based on open BIM principles
Pre-requisites:
- Hardware with graphic cards (GPU) are required for installation of the various BIM Software
- Prior basic experience in CAD or BIM is preferred but not compulsory
Module Content:
- Introduction to IFC
- Basic BIM Architecture, M&E and C&S modelling using several BIM software
- Clash detection approach using various software
- Introduction to BIM Dimension, BCF and COBie
- Hands-on cost estimation, work scheduling and facility management features using open source BIM software
