Professional Diploma in BIM and IBS

Professional Diploma in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Industrialised Building System (IBS) is awarded by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), a well established government-owned university in the Northern Zone of Malaysia. For the first time, the topics of prefabrication or IBS are combined with hands-on BIM applications; towards producing a well-trained Construction 4.0 professionals.

It covers 14 modules over the course of 10 months through online lectures, assignments, projects and a final exam. Deliveries will be during weekends thus supporting part-time students and existing construction professionals who are interested to master IBS and BIM. For hands-on applications, students will be exposed to both Revit and TiffinBIM software and choice of usage is flexible. 

For those without any BIM software, TiffinBIM license will be provided free throughout the program period; as well as complimentary usage of our Learning Management System (LMS) for additional self-learning time. Students will also be using other Construction 4.0 solutions from Innovacia including for gamification and Virtual Reality (VR). 

By the end of the program, graduates will not only possess the required certificates (already made compulsory by some clients) but also experience in doing modeling and opportunity to own software at special prices. Thus, making them ready for new job markets and for the company, ready to bid and involved in prefab and BIM-related projects. There are three (3) intakes annually and new cohorts start every March, July and November.

Optional: During the program, students may opt for tests to qualify for the Malaysian Skills Standard Level 2 and Level 3 for Structural Plan Drafters, in addition to the Professional Diploma.

The fees are RM 10,800 for Malaysians and USD 4,300 for overseas students.
